Inspired by his ailing grandfather, Danny Rogers, a struggling country musician from Liverpool, embarks on a make-or-break pilgrimage to Nashville, hoping to be discovered at last. Will he fulfil his dream, or will it prove a very different journey of discovery? ‘Under The Mersey Moon’, an inspiring new musical play, tells the heartwarming story of one man’s determination to follow his dream and the enduring power of love, home and family.

Its debut performance last February was the Floral Pavilion Blue Lounge’s best-selling new musical ever. It has since returned to the Floral, this time on its main stage, with packed houses and standing ovations at every show. Now, in response to public demand, Under the Mersey Moon is making its Liverpool debut at the fabulous Epstein Theatre!

Written by two of Merseyside’s leading songwriters, Jimmy Rae (Tennessee Waltz) and Pete Davies (The Good Intentions) it features 13 original songs performed by a five-piece live band and a 12 strong cast, including local radio legend Billy Butler, his wife Lesley and Samuel Heller as Danny.
